Manta

Located at the southwestern tip of a reef plateau near Rangali Island in South Ari Atoll. Manta Point is a famous manta ray cleaning station. Here, reef mantas gather above the coral, circling gracefully as cleaner wrasse remove parasites.

The reef starts at around 8 metres and slopes down to 30 metres, offering encounters with scorpionfish, octopus, leaf fish, moray eels, Napoleons and midnight snappers.

The best season for manta encounters on that side of the atoll is generally from December to April, during the northeast monsoon.
